Whereas the number of seats to be filled through direct elections in the New Mahi Grama Panchayat in Kannur district has been fixed at 14, and on that basis, the draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into that number of constituencies and determining the boundaries of such constituencies have been published vide notification No. SDC;981/2024/SDC6 dated 18.11.2024; Whereas time has been allowed till 4.12.2024 for submitting objections and comments regarding the said proposals and the objections and comments received have been investigated, the complainants have been heard orally and the same has been considered and disposed of; As per Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Act, 1994, a final order has been issued dividing the New Mahi Gram Panchayat into 14 constituencies and determining the boundaries.
