BPL LIST
The BPL list is an official list prepared by the government to identify families below the poverty line and provide them with free ration, medical assistance (Karunya, Ayushman Bharat), educational benefits, and housing schemes like Life Mission on a priority basis. The list is prepared by checking criteria such as income, house condition, land size, and presence of vehicles. Currently, those included in this list can be identified by looking at the color of their ration card (yellow, pink). Eligible persons can apply for inclusion in this priority list through Akshaya Kendras or the Civil Supplies Portal and can check the list through local self-government bodies.
