Vision and Mission
The general vision and mission of the Gram Panchayats of Kerala for sustainable development and people's welfare are given below:
1. Vision
"To build a model autonomous region with economic security and social progress that ensures equal justice for the marginalized and the common people by integrating local resources and modern technology."
This mainly includes:
Achieving self-sufficiency in infrastructure development and digital services.
Implementing environment-friendly and sustainable development models.
Bringing transparent and corruption-free people's governance to the people.
2. Mission
To realize this vision, the Panchayats mainly undertake and carry out the following missions:
Popularization of services: Bringing tax collection, distribution of certificates, and welfare pensions to the doorsteps of the people in a completely timely manner and online.
Social Welfare and Security: Implement various government schemes for the elderly, differently-abled and economically backward.
Sanitation and Waste Management: Ensure complete waste management and sanitation in collaboration with Haritha Karma Sena and other popular groups.
Employment and Production: Create more employment opportunities by promoting local agro-industrial sectors.
Participatory Planning: Implement development activities transparently by knowing the needs of the people directly through Gram Sabhas and including them in annual plans.
