DATA BANK

The data bank is an official list prepared with the help of satellite images under the Paddy Fields and Wetlands Conservation Act, 2008, to protect agricultural land in Kerala. This document, which records the exact location, area, survey number and classification of paddy fields and wetlands in the state, is used to maintain ecological balance and prevent unnecessary filling of agricultural land. This list, which should be checked through village offices or the revenue portal before building a house or purchasing land, can be applied for correction through Form 5 if the land that has been converted into a homestead is wrongly listed as 'land'.
